below:
Click on RDPWin Server 2.XXX above to download the

Save the file to the your network drive, usually F:\RDP\RDPWin.
If this folder does not exist, create it. Do not run the server install
from a workstation. It must be run from the data server.

Repeat this process for RDPWin Client 2.XXX to
download the latest version of the client. Select Save.
Save the file to the your network drive, usually F:\RDP\RDPWin.
If this folder does not exist, create it.
Select Close. Proceed to the RDPWin Server
Installation Directions Below.
RDPWin Server Installation Directions
The server version of RDPWin must be installed one time on the data server
using the steps below. This procedure updates all RDP standard Crystal
Reports and other system files.
The RDPWin server install must be run from the data server
console. It cannot be run from a workstation. All users must be logged out of RDPWin and RDP-DOS during
the server installation.
Log onto the data server as Administrator.
Administrator rights are required to run the RDPWin server installation.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location where
the server installation file was saved and double-click the RDPWin server
installation file. The filename is in the format
RDPWinServer2.XXX.exe. Make sure to run the current server 2.XXX.exe
installation file.
Select Next.
The installation will prompt for the "RDP Root
Folder", and will default to C:\RDPNT\RDP. If different, change
this folder to the RDP root folder. Once the path is defined, select Next
to install.
Click Install.
 Proceed to install the RDPWin
client on each workstation as set forth below.
RDPWin
Client Installation Directions
The client version of RDPWin must be installed on each workstation
using the steps below. All users must be logged out of RDP-DOS and
RDPWin before installing the first client after an update.
Logon to a given workstation as 'Administrator' or a user
with administrator rights.
Open "Windows Explorer" and navigate to the
location where the client installation file was saved, and double-click the
RDPWin client installation file. The filename is in the format RDPWinClient2.XXX.exe.
Make sure to run the current client installation file by
double-clicking the correct file name. Follow the directions on the
screen. When prompted for the "Destination folder",
it is critical to use the default drive "C" and
default path "\program files\ResortDataProcessing\RDPWin".
The only time this should be changed is when installing on a Citrix or
Terminal Server that does not have a "C" drive. See
Using RDPWin Remotely with Citrix or
Microsoft Terminal Server.
If updating to RDPWin Version 2 for the first time please
on creating the ODBC connection.
When complete, start RDPWin on the workstation and verify
that the correct version appears on the logon screen. The first time
RDPWin 2 is installed, the "CheckFiles" program must be allowed to
run completely. This program confirms appropriate configuration for data tables,
date fields, etc. This can take up to an hour on some systems.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 for every workstation that uses RDPWin.
If the data server or IRM Bridge server use RDPWin, the client installation
must be run from these computers as well. When installing RDPWin Client
on a Citrix or Terminal Server, see:
Using RDPWin Remotely with Citrix or
Microsoft Terminal Server.
Sample Data Files
- DataCCS.zip & DataVRS.zip
RDP has sample data files that can be used to view all features in RDPWin.
These files can be downloaded and installed as follows:
Download the Vacation Rental demo files:
DataVRS.zip OR Hotel
demo files: DataHCS.zip
OR Condo-Hotel demo files:
DataCCS.zip.
Click the Save button. Save the file to the RDP root
folder (usually F:\RDP).
Call RDP support at 970-845-7108 to add the demo files to
your system. This process should only take a few minutes and involves
the steps below:
Create an \RDP\RDPCC folder.
Unzip the DataCCS files into \RDP\RDPCC.
Note: Make
sure to unzip them to the right folder and not to overwrite real data files.
Change the \RDP\Resorts text file with Notepad and add the
line "CC RDP Demo files".
After these steps are complete you can view all features of RDPWin.
RDP-DOS will also work on these files.
