User Account is Locked in RDPWin

Issue

Too many failed login attempts. This account is now locked. You must wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to login again. Your RDP system administrator may unlock your account so that you may login sooner.

Solution

Contact someone who has administrator rights to edit user accounts in RDPWin. RDP administrators will have access to modify user accounts from the System main menu --> Manage Users. 

To unlock the account:

  1. In RDPWin, go to the System main menu.

  2. Select Manage Users.

  3. Select the user and click Change.

  4. Uncheck the box for Account is Disabled.

  5. Enter a temporary password for the locked user. The passwords must contain between 7 - 15 characters with at least one number, one lower case letter and uppercase letter.

  6. When the user logs in, they will be required to create a new password.
