Configurable Email Text for Custom Room Help

RDPWin version 3 now allows for configurable email text for custom room help.  You are able to create a txt or html file with text that can be included in all Room# Web Info help screen emails. Both .txt and .htm files are needed in case email readers cannot view html. Note: This feature is only available for Room# Web Info not Room# Info help screens.

 Steps to create:

  1. Open Notepad from Start -> Programs -> Accessories

  2. Type the text you would like as the default for emailed Room# Web Info

  3. File -> Save As

  4. Under the Save In drop down, select the appropriate drive letter for RDPNT -> select the RDP folder -> select the UserConfig folder

  5. Enter the file name: HelpEmail and Save as type: Text Document (*.txt)

  6. Click Save

  1. File -> Save As

  2. Under the Save In drop down, select the appropriate drive letter for RDPNT -> select the RDP folder -> select the UserConfig folder (this is the same location as step 4)

  3. Enter the file name: HelpEmail.htm and Save as type: All Files

  4. Click Save

To view new text created in the above steps:

1.     F5 New Res -> click the Available Rooms button -> select a room

2.     Click the Web Info button from the Available Rooms screen or the Room# Web Info button from the New Reservation screen.

3.     Click the E-Mail Link button

Note: Web Info link must be added to the room master in the URL field. For more information about room masters click here.
