 Pervasive 9.52 Hot Fix Installation Error

Issue:  When installing the Pervasive 9.52 Hot fix you may encounter some errors similar to the view below. The .dll file may be one of various different names:

The reason for this could be one of three things

Solution: 

  1.  If Pervasive is running as a service on the machine being installed, stop the PSQL service by going to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. 
  2. Right-click on the PSQL Relational and Transactional engines and stop them. 
  3. Click Retry.
  4. If RDP is open, log out of RDP applications and click Retry.
  5. If you are not logged onto the machine as the local administrator,  abort the Hot Fix.  Log off and log in as administrator and try to run the Hot Fix again.
