Issue

Error: Customer's may receive Basic Error 6 when running 998 as well as other programs. This a known problem caused in 2.054 with an amount of 233 trillion in multiple fields. Depositamount2, Group commissions, B2DC forfeiture code.

Solution

  1. Make sure customer is on the latest DOS program (Revision 542 or higher).
  2. Run 995 or complete steps 3 5. 

    Note:   When unable to t get everyone out of the system, Steps 3-5 should accomplish the same as 995 would.  If you run 995 and steps 3-5 show records, let Joan know.
  3. Execute the following SQL query: 
  4. Select ResNum from HReserve where DepositAmount2 > 1000000 or DepositAmount2 < -1000000.
  5. If the above query shows records, execute the following SQL query:  Update HReserve Set DepositAmount2 = 0 where DepositAmount2 > 1000000 or DepositAmount2 < -1000000.
  6. Execute the following SQL query:  Select ResNum from HReserve where GroupCommission > 1000000 or GroupCommission < -1000000
  7. If the above query shows records, execute the following SQL query:  Update HReserve Set GroupCommission = 0 where GroupCommission > 1000000 or GroupCommission < -1000000
  8. Execute the following SQL query:  Select ResNum from HReserve where BalanceDueAtCheckIn > 1000000 or BalanceDueAtCheckIn < -1000000
  9. If the above query shows records, execute the following SQL query:  Update HReserve Set BalanceDueAtCheckIn = 0 where BalanceDueAtCheckIn > 1000000 or BalanceDueAtCheckIn < -1000000
  10. Check to see if any transactions have been posted with these large amounts by executing the following SQL query:  Select TransactionDate, MasterNum, TransactionSeqNum, TransactionTable, TransactionCode, ExplodeFlag900 from HExpense where ExtendedCost > 1000000 or ExtendedCost < -1000000
  11. If the above query shows records, do the following steps:
    1. Print the grid or write down the reservation numbers.
    2. If there are a lot of transactions, contact Denise or Ron at RDPWest for the correct SQL command to delete those transactions.
    3. If there are a few transactions, delete the transactions with DOS 993.
    4. Run ResetResFromFolio on each of those reservations.
    5. If any of the records have a P in the ExplodeFlag900 column, run 998 for the month of the transaction date.
  12. Go into each reservation and forfeit or refund the amount again.  This time the transaction should not have the large number.
