Pervasive K000194 10/31/06 This application has failed to initialize because w3dbav80.dll was not found

When starting RDPDOS you may receive the error, "This application has failed to initialize because w3dbav80.dll was not found".  This can be caused if the installation of the Pervasive client was not completed correctly.  It may be possible to solve this problem as follows:

  1. Exit the RDPDOS system

  2. Download the file w3dbav80.dll.  When prompted save the file to C:\PVSW\Bin

  3. Restart RDPDOS.  The error should not occur.  

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all affected workstations.
